Challenge

Challenging a Player to a Match
You can use the Challenge command to ask a player to play a casual match with you. Right-click a player's name and select Challenge. A window will appear so you can choose the match options.

You can't challenge a player to a sanctioned match.

Match Options
Type
First select either Sealed Deck or Constructed from the left drop-down list, then choose a format from the right drop-down list. If you choose a Constructed format, the Deck field will appear so you can choose your deck.

Match format
You can choose to play either a single game or the best two-out-of-three games.

No watchers
If this check box is selected, other Magic Online players can't watch your match. If it's cleared, any player can watch.

Deck (Constructed formats only)
When you click the Browse button, the Select Deck window will appear. (If you click the OK button without choosing your deck, the Select Deck window will also appear.) Choose the deck you want from the Select Deck window and click Open.

Sending a Challenge
Once you've selected match options and chosen a deck (if necessary), click the OK button. The Waiting for Players window will appear on your screen with your avatar sitting at the table.

If your challenge is accepted, the other player's avatar will also appear in the window. Click the OK button to begin the match. Only the player who sent the challenge can begin the match. Either player can click the cancel button to quit the match before it begins.

If the other player declines your challenge, the Waiting for Players window will close and you'll see a message telling you the match was declined. You'll also see any reason the player types in.

Receiving a Challenge
When another player challenges you to a match, you'll see a message window telling you who sent the challenge and what format the match will be.

If you click the Accept button, the Waiting for Players window appears with both players' avatars in it. The player who sent the challenge can then click the OK button to begin the match. Either player can click the cancel button to quit the match before it begins.

If you accept a challenge to a Constructed-format match, the Select Deck window will appear. After you choose the deck you want on the Select Deck window, click Open. Then the Waiting for Players window will appear.

If you click the Decline button, the challenger will see a message window saying you've declined the match. If you typed something in the Reason field, the other player will also see the reason you're declining the match.
